Working with the "white gold" 'm Sorry, I only came on a long detour to the material porcelain. In the absence of a kiln, I tortured myself over the years through the use of different modeling and casting. Finally I've reached my ultimate target material that has the properties and surface texture, which I liked for my dolls always have. The porcelain! A willful "Lady" of character that goes through the fire and then the most durable material!
And I must say ... I love the process of porcelain in all its stages! Ohh yeah, the "White Queen" demands a lot of attention and time during processing, errors are not forgiven.
also persistent rumors of the extreme brittleness I can not confirm right-fired porcelain is very durable and maybe even a fall on the carpet. This, added to involuntary, hardness test recently had to endure .. one of my dolls heads, and lo and behold, everything intact! Okay, this is not a guide for all Jezter porcelain doll owners, to throw their dolls on the carpet .. XD.
has secure do breaking strength too much with the right burning and the quality of the porcelain!
To illustrate the processing of porcelain dolls and my time here the steps: *
modeling of the prototype (takes about 1-2 months to complete) *
mold (another 1-2 months work)
* Preparation of porcelain and molds
* Casting *
demolding the blanks
finishing of the leather-hard * blank *
drying and grinding the raw
* 1 Brand
* again thoroughly wet grinding
* 2 Brand
* * paint with regrinding
2-3 Color fires
* clothes and wigs make
Pro doll that is easily several hundred hours of work. So not for the impatient ;-).
And the steps also show clearly why it is a porcelain artist doll
